2010 in your backyard

Welcome to the end.

The end of 2009.

On Friday starts 2010.

Really I don’t expect many differences between 2009 and 2010.

I don’t expect to see any “hover cars” from the Jetsons in 2010. I don’t expect to see any jello houses. (Wouldn’t those be cool, though?) I also don’t expect any changes in the make up of the US Congress or the Canadian Parliament.

I expect to eat some cheese. Maybe drink some milk. And if I’m really lucky, I’ll get to see the third Twilight movie in the spring. Yes, I’m somewhat obsessed with Twilight.

Happy Holidays!!

First I’d like to wish all my blog and story readers a very warm and happy holidays!

Lately I’ve been feeling down. It’s the time of year when I lament that I’m not going to get what I want for Xmas. The gift being the ending of my single status. According to NowPublic and Snopes, suicide rates do not increase significantly during the holiday season. That’s really great news.

I guess I have the feeling because while I have family to celebrate the holiday, I don’t feel complete. Add to the fact that a friend of mine just got engaged, it makes me feel unwanted. Heck, I didn’t even get a single e-card or holiday card. Not one.
