So I’ve been watching Angel on DVD. Your protagonist Angel is a traditional vampire. No going out in the sun, can’t see him in a mirror, and steak through the heart turns a vampire to dust. This is the way it is supposed to be, right?
Then you have Twilight where they sparkle like diamonds in the daylight, but they can go out, etc.
So when you want to write a romance involving a vampire, do you have to forbid them from what vampires have in Twilight?
Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve updated my blog.
The California Supreme Court released their ruling on Proposition 8. Their ruling was unsurprising, uninspired, and lacked any originality.
There’s a video at the end of this post that appropriately anchors my feelings.
Then there are whackjobs who want to go to the local U.S. consulate or Embassy to protest. Really… will that actually do anything? No! The court won’t change its mind. And if Canada had done something like this, no one would be protesting at our Embassies or Consulates. Protests are so 1998. Try something more creative, like YouTube.
So for those who have been paying attention lately, the first two chapters of HIH have been released. I’m not going to talk about the plot here, because for now chapter 2 is only available in my Yahoo! Group. I have plans to send Chapter 1 into Nifty sometime soon, most likely today. The good news for everyone is that I have up to chapter 11 finished. This means that I’ll try to release 2 chapters per week, unless I get writers block and have to decrease that. Which could be good as then I’ll write more chapters for My Boyfriend is a Vampire most likely.
So my Star Trek has finally come back.
No there isn’t a new TV show out that I am aware of, but there is a Star Trek movie due out in May. It features the original Trek cast, with different actors at a younger age, and is set before the events in the original series. It could be good, or it could be a bust. I’m excited to see it, though I’d love to see a Deep Space 9 movie at some point.
So if it isn’t a TV show, how has my addiction come back?
