I went to see the new Robocop movie yesterday. It had me wondering… why was the main character straight? Why couldn’t he have been gay.
It bothers me, because yes there are gay characters in movies, but they are never the main character, unless the movie is about a gay theme, such as Brokeback Mountain. That was a groundbreaking movie, but why can’t I have a “regular” movie, such as Robocop, or The Never Ending Story with a gay lead character, where the movie IS NOT about the person’s sexuality? I wish everyone a warm and happy holiday. Without friends like you, it would make my
writing more challenging. I am grateful everyday for your continued support.
We wish for you a holiday
That’s better than your dreams,
Filled with peace, good will and hope
And firelight that gleams,
Overflowing with holiday spirit
Good food and holiday laughter;
And when it’s done, We hope that you
Live happily ever after! Read more...(151 words, 3 images, estimated 36 secs reading time)
So today I discovered I had a few bouncing members of my Yahoo! Group who were members of AOL. From what I gather it didn’t like something in some e-mail from one of these groups. From what I saw it seems easy to offend AOL’s spam filter.
So I am encouraging my group members to switch to Gmail.
So I was chatting with Comicality the other day, and he really wants me to do some more interviews. The thing is I’m not sure who I should interview, and I haven’t gotten any suggestions lately. So I’ll keep thinking on it, but we’ll have to wait and see.
Story updates – Things are still on the slow side. I had some readers asking, and I have made some progress on My Boyfriend is a Vampire. Right now I just need more time to be able to write. The new job is great, but takes up time, LOL. Read more...(131 words, 2 images, estimated 31 secs reading time)
So a few people who have read my stories (particularly The Legendary Warrior) know that I don’t like the TV show Dora the Explorer. I had seen the show just before writing a few of the story’s chapters. I had been watching the show with my two God daughter’s and wanted to gauge my own eyes out. Sadly I bought one of them a Dora DVD, I think for her birthday. But man was it bad. Very bad. Stay away. So that’s why I dislike this particular show. But don’t let that run it for yourself if you enjoy it….
Well tomorrow is every Canadian’s favourite holiday! (Well after Christmas, Labour Day, Easter, Mabon, Valentines Day, Civic Holiday and Family Day.) Canada Day is tomorrow. So find your favourite Canadian (and no, it is not allowed to be Celine Dion or Shania Twain) and give them a big hug!
Canada Day is a time of fireworks, festivals, and being Canadian. I’d compare it to the US Independence Day, but that wouldn’t do Canada Day any justice, so visit the link above!
Recently I was asked if I’d give some tips on Editing. At first I was reluctant, but here I am. Who am I, you ask. I’m known around most sites I belong to as talonrider.
Let me begin by giving you a little background. It all started back in 2004 when I responded to a request from an author looking for someone to go over some chapters that he was looking to maybe get published. Over the years, I’ve worked with several authors, some on a limited basis and others permanently. Read more...(348 words, estimated 1:24 mins reading time)
