Robin of my dreams

Argh! Ive had two songs on my mind recently. The first is Rhythm of my Heart by Rod Stewart, and the other is Rockin Robin. I don’t know why these songs are stuck in my head, but it’s sort of frustrating. And of course Kardon, one of my IRC moderators is being strange tonight. Not sure why, but maybe he’s secretly in love with Justin or Taryin from Comicality’s Gone from Daylight. the politics of identity

I was chatting with one of my editors the other day on that evil instant messenger, and I jokingly told him I would write him into one of my new stories. I’ve done this before, written someone in. I think it’s kinda cool, really. Plus then I don’t have to invent a name, I already have one. Plus that whole disclaimer thing makes it just too easy. Anyway, my editor said that he didn’t want me to use his real name. He then went on for a bit about his theory of names, and why his own name broke those rules. Read more... Stories in HTML?

So this really punk named Comicality had the audacity to suggest that I should publish my stories in HTML!! Like seriously, he can’t read PDF for some weird reason, so he’d prefer HTML. Of course that’s how he publishes his stories. The nerve!! cool.gif

All joking aside, I’m not sure I want to publish in HTML. I use OpenOffice when I write my stories, and so creating a PDF is a one button function. It’s really easy, and it incorporates the styles, fonts, etc that I need and want in the story. HTML requires the user to download some of those things. Read more...
