Sacred Fate by Eresse & @LSB_lsbooks

Today I am doing a partial review of Sacred Fate by Eresse.sacredfate

Stars: 1

Book jacket:

In the dual-gendered realm of Ylandre, the great divide between the high-born True Bloods and the lower-ranked Half Bloods is deemed impassable by most. Rohyr Essendri dared to cross it when he took young Lassen Idana from his provincial town and made him his paramour. Lassen perforce learned how to navigate the intricate byways of life at court. What he never expected, however, was to fall in love with Rohyr, a most inadvisable and impractical thing to do when one’s lover is sovereign ruler of the land. But anything worth having is worth fighting for, both figuratively and, as Lassen discovers, literally speaking.

Slipstream & Oculus by @MichaelOffutt

So today I’m reviewing two books by
Michael Offutt
. They are Slipstream and Oculus.

Stars: 5

What an amazing series Offutt has created here, I just finished Oculus and I cannot wait for book #3. He’s created a complex reality of two words – Earth and a parallel dimension Earth called Avalon. Essentially our hero Jordan is an unliklely superhero. A star of the hockey team at Cornell in Oculus, he essentially has to save the world. In Slipstream he’s dragged to Avalon to fight some baddies, but when he gets home to Earth, a year later more baddies show up. There’s a black tower he has to find, and friends who unfortunately die. Without spoiling the book for you, it’s an amazing journey!!

5 reasons to vote for Dr. Jill Stein

Dr. Jill Stein in Madison, WI 12-16-2011 299.jpg

I get that a lot of people in the GLBT community love Obama right now, but we shouldn’t be so shortsighted that we don’t consider Jill Stein for President.

So here are my 5 top reasons to vote for Jill Stein:

5. The Green Party has long supported gay rights, and same-sex marriage before either of the major parties.

4. Is there really much of a difference between Obama and Romney?

3. Feel good about who you’re voting for.

2. Dr. Stein regularly is out protesting and connected with the people.

Sci-Regency series by @jl_langley & @samhainpub

Cover of

Stars: 5

The Sci-Regency series so far has 3 books. It is by JL Langley. My Fair Captain (2007), The Englor Affair (2008), and My Relegence Rake (2012).

The books take place in the far future in an area of space where they have chosen the Regency period of England to follow as a form of modern government. There are two planets, Relegance, and Englor. Both have gone in different directions. On Relegence they so badly wanted guys to run the place, that all the nobles are genetically engineered to be gay. Englor is more like current-day Earth with it’s homophobic society and expectations of the King to marry a woman.

Hostile Takeover by @emlynley and @dreamspinners

So I’m going too start writing brief reviews of gay (and sometimes non-gay) books and ebooks that I have read. Unfortunately since I don’t have a lot of time, it’ll probably be if I really loved the booked, or felt strongly about the book. You’ve probably seen some of my shoutouts on Twitter and Facebook.

Today’s book is titled Hostile Takeover and it is written by EM Lynley and published by Dreamspinner Press.

Stars: 3

The book follows Mathias and Chase, once lovers and olympic hopefuls through the 10 years following their breakup, with numerous flashbacks to their relationship from having met at the US Olypmic Fencing Team trials to graduating with their MBAs.
