Vermont is my toilet paper

So in the U.S. state of Vermont, the state senate has passed a bill legalizing same-sex marriage. It was quite a large number in favour. Now it must still pass the House, and there’s no idea if they’ll have enough votes to overturn a veto from the Governor.

It’s not so bad, at least they’re trying, right? It’s the thought that counts… right?

Wrong.

The Wednesday Post

So for those who have been paying attention lately, the first two chapters of HIH have been released. I’m not going to talk about the plot here, because for now chapter 2 is only available in my Yahoo! Group. I have plans to send Chapter 1 into Nifty sometime soon, most likely today. The good news for everyone is that I have up to chapter 11 finished. This means that I’ll try to release 2 chapters per week, unless I get writers block and have to decrease that. Which could be good as then I’ll write more chapters for My Boyfriend is a Vampire most likely.

My Star Trek addiction, readers, and life.

So my Star Trek has finally come back.

No there isn’t a new TV show out that I am aware of, but there is a Star Trek movie due out in May. It features the original Trek cast, with different actors at a younger age, and is set before the events in the original series. It could be good, or it could be a bust. I’m excited to see it, though I’d love to see a Deep Space 9 movie at some point.

So if it isn’t a TV show, how has my addiction come back?

The Internet.

the Value of Gay Money

Gays have money.

And lots of it.

Apparently innkeepers in Maine want the state to legalize same-sex marriage. Why? Because of the money that gays & lesbians would spend in the state getting married. Gay money has political clout all of a sudden.

Places like Toronto, and Maine target the gay market already. But as a gay person, I purposely try not to travel anywhere that isn’t at least gay-friendly, and as more jurisdictions legalize same-sex marriage, it’ll be easier to only spend my money where it is wanted.

And that’s the bottom line.

writing from 9 – 7 and on to heaven

Writing HIH has proved to be a real challenge.

I’m attempting this as a first person story. I rarely write in the first person. But I decided that the third book in the Legendary Warrior series should be from the first person POV. So to do that, I almost have to put myself in the shoes of that character.

In theatre school, they would have called that “method acting“.

Robin of my dreams

Argh! Ive had two songs on my mind recently. The first is Rhythm of my Heart by Rod Stewart, and the other is Rockin Robin. I don’t know why these songs are stuck in my head, but it’s sort of frustrating. And of course Kardon, one of my IRC moderators is being strange tonight. Not sure why, but maybe he’s secretly in love with Justin or Taryin from Comicality’s Gone from Daylight. For some reason Justin has been on my mind too lately, but perhaps that’s just from Com’s quality workmanship.
